Terms & privacy

Last updated 24 October 2026. This page is written to be read, not to be hidden behind.

1. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the details on your account and for keeping your password private. Do not share your login. NTUME may suspend an account that is used to abuse the platform, impersonate staff, or redistribute material unlawfully — and will tell you why.

2. Subscriptions

A subscription opens the services included in its tier for its stated duration. Renewals add time to your remaining balance. Prices are displayed before you pay and can be changed by NTUME for future purchases; the price shown when you order is the price that applies to that order.

When a subscription expires, paid services pause. Your account and your personal learning data — notes, bookmarks, history, progress — are never deleted because of expiry.

You keep access to published recordings of discussions covered by your paid period, including a discussion you paid for while it was still running. You do not need to have attended it. A payment made after a discussion ends does not include that discussion. Refunds, revoked payments or corrections to your paid period can change recording access. Downloads are available only where NTUME has enabled them for that recording and your paid access permits them.

3. Payments

Payments are made with MTN Mobile Money or Airtel Money, either by sending the amount to NTUME's receiving number and submitting the receipt, or by approving a prompt on your own phone through a licensed payment service. NTUME never sees your PIN. Access is granted only when NTUME confirms the money arrived: from the receiving account's own records or the payment service's confirmation. A screenshot alone is never treated as proof. Where an amount is taken but access is not granted, contact support with your payment reference and NTUME will resolve it.

4. What we collect

Google accounts for classes

When you choose to connect Google in your profile, Google confirms your account ID and verified email address. NTUME stores these details and when the account was connected so it can identify the Google account you will use for classes. This does not change your NTUME sign-in details. The student connection requests only basic account identity and email permissions; it does not request access to your Gmail messages, Drive files or Calendar. NTUME does not retain the student's Google access, refresh or ID tokens after verifying the connection.

For managed Google Meet classes, NTUME sends your connected email address to Google Meet to grant and remove admission according to your class access. NTUME keeps a record of that admission, including the connected account ID, email, class and access status. Google processes meetings under Google's privacy policy. Your connected Google details are used for account verification and class access, not advertising.

You can disconnect Google from your profile. If meeting access is pending, active or awaiting removal, contact NTUME support to remove that access first. Disconnecting deletes the current Google account link; it does not erase past class admission records. For account closure or questions about retained records, contact ntume@ntumediscussions.com.

5. What we never do

6. Your control

You can edit your profile, change your password, sign out other devices, and export everything NTUME holds about your learning as a JSON file from your profile page. Ask support if you want your account closed; NTUME will confirm what is removed and what must be retained for financial and audit records.

7. Copyright and permitted material

NTUME publishes its own material, material licensed to it, and material it is permitted to share. Copyrighted works are not distributed unlawfully. If you believe something on NTUME infringes your rights, contact ntume@ntumediscussions.com and it will be reviewed promptly.

8. Academic honesty

Use NTUME to learn, not to misrepresent. Quizzes, mock examinations and assessments are for your own preparation. The AI study assistant is a study aid: it answers only from approved NTUME material where it can, cites its sources, and says when the evidence is insufficient.
